在年初的消费电子展（CES 2015）上，英特尔推出了类似于电视棒的“计算棒”（Compute Stick）产品，现在它已经正式上市了，售价为149美元。尽管它采用了紧凑的外形，但实际上，它还是一台功能完整的计算机，并且支持Windows 8.1操作系统（其实就是预装了免费的Windows 8.1 with Bing）。

该“计算棒”搭载了英特尔四核Atom处理器、集成Intel HD Graphics核芯显卡、2GB DDR3内存、32GB板载存储（支持microSD扩展）、支持Wi-Fi和蓝牙4.0，并且提供了一个USB 2.0端口。
